Description
This session will review the concept of OSA phenotypes/endotypes, emphasizing how we might be able to personalize therapy for OSA, offering CPAP alternatives at the outset of the treatment plan as opposed to the current practice of considering these in CPAP failures. Subsessions will discuss established alternative treatment options of hypoglossal nerve stimulation and mandibular advancement devices and review recent outcome data on their efficacy on cardiovascular outcomes. There will also be a session on emerging alternative options of high-flow nasal cannula, position therapy, oxygen, and pharmacotherapy. Session will include a patient's perspective in the introduction.
